What to expect:
This is a 12-hour private tour with an English-speaking driver, where you program the details of your itinerary.
The driving time to Krushunski Waterfalls and Devetashka Cave is approximately 3 hours in direction. You’ll have plenty of time to fully explore and marvel these natural wonders of Bulgaria.
Krushunski Waterfalls are a series of cascading waterfalls, the tallest one being at about 20 meters high. In the area, there are several eco paths, which lead to smaller caves and waterfalls. The walk itself is not difficult, but there are a few sections, which are a bit steeper.
Devetashka Cave is one of the biggest and movest spectacular caves in Bulgaria, with a total length of about 2 kilometers. The entire cave is declared as a natural habitat of over 30000 bats and most of the access to the deeper parts of the cave are off-limits to visitors.
Depending on the time spent at these two natural wonders, on your way back, you may visit the small city of Lovech and its most recognizable symbol – the Covered Bridge. Here you can make a short stop, go through it and buy souvenirs.

- Tips
Good to know before you go on your Krushunski Waterfalls and Devetashka Cave tour:
- It’s good to be wearing comfortable shoes (not flip flops) if you decide to take the eco paths at Krushunski Waterfalls.
- Devetashka Cave is easy to walk, but it can be a bit chilly inside. It’s good to bring a light jacket, just in case.
- Due to the longer travel time, we recommend departing from Sofia at around 7-8 AM
